Artist Bracelets

Sizing

Our standard artist bracelets are bangle style. This means you must slip them OVER your hand to your wrist. They do not come standard with clasps. If you choose the Add a Clasp option, sizing is different—see below for details. If you have read this page and are still confused or have questions, please let us know before placing your order, as each bracelet is custom crafted to your specifications! Email us at info@wearyourmusic.org or call us at 646.595.0090 if you need any help.

Standard Sizing

The bracelet should be snug going on, but not so tight as to put unneeded stress on those precious used strings!  The best way to measure is to use a string and measure the widest part of your hand when your hand is the smallest—like if you were reaching into a pickle jar. Measure the string in inches and this is your size!

With a Clasp Sizing

Measure your wrist with a string.  Add a half inch for wiggle room.  This is your size!  We will make the bracelet to the size you specify.  The clasp is INCLUDED in the size.  Example:  My wrist is 7 inches.  I will order a 7.5 and the bracelet I get will be 7.5 inches including the clasp.  Please note that bracelets with clasps are customized and cannot be returned or exchanged.

My size isn't on the list!

Please write in the size you would like in the comments field at checkout.  We will do our best to accommodate you. Please note that custom sized bracelets cannot be returned or exchanged.

I want to buy an artist bracelet as a gift and don’t know the size

There are two different options for sizing (see above under “Standard” and “With a Clasp”). Remember! If you order a clasp, you are measuring the wrist; if you order standard, you are measuring around the hand near the base knuckle of the thumb.
After you have made that decision, here are a couple of ideas to get your gift bracelet without giving away the secret:

• If you have children, or are in school, tell them about a school project that involves measuring everyone’s wrist (or hand) size for a body frame comparison chart.
• Tell them you’re documenting wrist size by nationality or geography of birth.
• It’s an ancient measure of how sexy you are. Measure everyone in the room.
• Tell them you’re making friendship bracelets and you need to have their size.

But remember! It matters whether you are ordering a bracelet with a clasp, or without one.

What does “IN STOCK” mean?

For artist bracelets “In Stock” means only that we have the strings to make the bracelets. This DOES NOT mean we have finished bracelets in stock, they can still take up to four weeks in production.

When are new artists added to your website?  When are you getting more strings from current artists?

We add artists’ strings whenever we receive them in our studio.  We are constantly reaching out to artists and their management companies. However, all of their touring and recording schedules differ.  Some artists change their strings—and therefore send us strings—more frequently than others. If would like to be added to the waitlist for an artist that is out of stock or the wish list for a future artist, just send an email to info@wearyourmusic.org and specify the name of the artist.

Can I place a back order?

No, we don’t like having your credit card number that long. Email us at info@wearyourmusic.org and we will add you to the waiting list for your item.

My bracelet is the wrong size. How can I exchange it?

You can exchange it for a new size, or have a clasp added to it. To do so, please print the PDF form found on the RETURNS page and follow the instructions. Please allow at least four weeks. Please note that you cannot exchange or return bracelets that have been customized (i.e., engraving, stones, etc).

Can I return my Artist Bracelet?

Artist bracelets can be returned within 14 days of receipt if they have no customizations (clasps, stones, special sizes), are not on sale, and are unworn. Please visit the RETURNS page for details.

Which charity does the money go to?

Each artist selects his or her own charity. It is listed on each artist’s bracelet page.

Is my purchase tax deductible?

Sorry, at this time your purchase is not tax deductible, as the donation is made to the charity on behalf of the artist.

Custom Options

To see pictures of the custom options, click on the question mark next to the option (on the artist page) and an image and description will pop up. Not every artist has every option.
Classic Versus Wrapped

Classic bracelets are wrapped with 99.9% fine silver, soldered and stamped with the artist’s initials. They take up to four weeks in production— please leave ample time when ordering! Classic bracelets can be customized further with the options below. Wrapped bracelets are hand-wound with sterling silver wire and take approximately one week in production. These are a lower priced option and no custom options can be added.

Add a Clasp

This makes the bracelet fit closer to the wrist, as it does not have to slide over the hand. The clasp is sterling silver, and is an additional $85. If you want to see it, simply click on the question mark next to “Add a Sterling Silver Clasp” on the artist bracelet order page.

Diamond in the Ball

Adding a diamond to the ball of the string is one of our favorite looks! Please note that the ball ends of strings are fragile. When purchasing this option, we do not offer refunds or replacements, as breakage is the nature of donated materials—not due to faulty craftsmanship.

Make it Precious

Add a diamond, ruby, sapphire or emerald to the seal of your bracelet! Stones measure approximately 3mm. Size and color vary.

Returns

Please visit our RETURNS page.

Fashion Bracelets

What are they?

Fashion bracelets are REAL guitar strings, although they are NOT from famous people. They are one-size-fits-all and you can bend and shape them to suit your write. The colored bracelets are electroplated. Stacked or single, these make fun small gifts for music-loving friends and family. You’ll probably have to get more in a year or two—the color can wear off especially when worn in multiples or with other metal bracelets. And trust us: Folks who get ‘em, wear ‘em all the time.

What are they made of?

The strings and endcaps are made from lead-free base metal.

Charms

How can I clean my charms?

The charms are silver: use a silver polishing cloth should they become tarnished. Keeping them away from water, lotions and perfumes will help them sparkle longer between cleanings.

How do I attach the charms to my bracelet?

Simply slide the rubber ring on to your fashion bracelet!

How fast do artist bracelets ship?

Artist bracelets can take up to four weeks in production, as they are handcrafted to your specifications. Therefore, please order well in advance and take this time into account when choosing a shipping method. Artist bracelets always go out FedEx Ground, Express Saver (3-day), 2-Day, or Standard Overnight, as they need to be traced. You will get an email from us with all the information, and a tracking number, on the day we ship.

How fast do other orders ship?

You will get an email from us on the day we ship. Your items do NOT always go out the day you order, so please read below and choose your shipping method accordingly. Stock items (fashion bracelets, charms, necklaces, wrapped artist bracelets and sale artist bracelets) ship the Friday after they are ordered, regardless of what shipping method is chosen. Sometimes they will ship sooner, but we’re making no guarantees. We offer U.S. Postal Service First Class and Priority Mail. We recommend these methods ONLY for items under $50.00, as they are not traceable or insured. We also offer FedEx Ground, Express Saver (3-day), 2-Day, and Standard Overnight.

Do you ship internationally?

We certainly do, but keep some things in mind. Not only do the costs of shipping vary widely, so do customs fees, duties, taxes, security issues and other things. So we’ll be happy to ship your package, but it’s going to be up to you to pay the charges of receiving it. We only take international orders online, and we can’t guarantee delivery dates. We offer UPSP Priority Mail International and also FedEx services, when available. FedEx shipments come with a tracking number and USPS does not.

Aaaaack! Can I reach a human being?

Sure! We’re a small outfit with the same folks every day. We like email because it works late when we don’t, but you can reach people who speak to each other, and to you, by phone at 646-595-0090. We try to answer the phone daily from 10-4 EST, but if you get our voicemail you can be sure we will call you back. Of course, you can email 24/7 to info@wearyourmusic.org.
